Muse in the Woods: A Poetry Retreat for Published Writers 2019

March 28 - 31, 2019

  • $799.00 – Program Price

This muse-friendly retreat is intended for published writers who would like to stretch and grow in their craft – even if they have never written or published a poem. The retreat will offer seven guided workshops intended to inspire your muse and time to put your muse to work. Each workshop is a mixture of discussion, lecture, and prompts to generate new work. The last workshop will focus on revision.

Our common, pre-retreat read will be Human Hours by Catherine Barnett and Alive Together by Lisel Mueller.  In addition, the Highlights Foundation will provide all writers with copies of Gail Carson Levine’s Transient.

The Foundation will also provide shuttles from Newark or Scranton should that work into your travel plans. You are welcome to add on unworkshop days to the retreat at a reduced cost of $129 per night. ($149 per night is the 2019 rate.)
