R(ev)ise and Shine! Writing Retreat

Come join us at Highlights Foundation campus for The R(ev)ise and Shine! Residency. There will be delicious, locally sourced meals, with snacks and beverages throughout the day. Take advantage of a full schedule of lectures, targeted writing exercises, one-on-one meetings with mentors, facetime with an agent, and other group activities. Or, if you prefer to focus on your writing, pick and choose among the events you’d like to join, and spend the rest of your time working in the comfort of your cozy room/cabin! The Highlights Foundation campus also has ample opportunities for walking, hiking, bird watching and gorgeous sunsets, as the campus is surrounded by nature and farms. This setting is sure to ignite your creativity and inspire you well beyond the retreat experience!

You may check into your lodging anytime after 3pm on arrival day. The first meal on campus will be appetizers at 5:30pm and dinner at 6:00pm. If you arrive late, we can save dinner for you with advance notice.

Lunch on the final day of your stay is included, but we ask that you check out of your lodging by 11am. You are welcome to leave your packed bags by the door of your room/cabin while you enjoy lunch and say your goodbyes. Housekeeping may enter your room during this period to begin cleaning and prepping for our next guests. Thank you for your consideration.

Getting to campus:

Our Retreat Center is located in Milanville, PA (392 Boyds Mills Road). If you need assistance getting here, we offer select shuttle service from a few key locations, for a fee. See details, pricing and schedule here. After registering, you will have an opportunity to provide us with travel details and request shuttle service, if needed.

Cancellation Policy:

Guests are welcome to cancel their registration and receive a full refund up to 30 days before the start of retreat. Individual cancellations made 7-29 days in advance will incur a fee equivalent to 15% of total retreat cost. Individual cancellations made within one week of retreat start will incur a fee equivalent to 30% of total retreat cost.
