Recharge: A Poet's Retreat

Escape from your daily distractions and focus on your writing.

Come join us at Highlights Foundation campus for a retreat designed especially for poets. This retreat will be relaxed with structured and unstructured time to connect as a group or strike out on your own. The Highlights Foundation campus has ample opportunities for walking, hiking, bird watching and gorgeous sunsets as the campus is surrounded by nature and farms.  This setting is sure to ignite your creativity and inspire you well beyond the retreat experience.

You will be treated to three delicious, locally sourced meals with snacks and beverages throughout the day. Lodging is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to register yourself and a roommate, please make a deposit, include your roommate’s info, and we will be in touch to adjust your balance due. Or feel free to notify us of your plan to share accommodation by sending a message to support@highlightsfoundation.zendesk.com, and we will reach out to assist you.

You may check into your lodging anytime after 3pm on arrival day.  If you arrive prior to 3pm, you may enjoy the grounds and various work and gathering places around the facility as your room is being prepared. The first meal on campus will be appetizers at 5:30pm and dinner at 6:00pm.  If you arrive late, we can save dinner for you.

Lunch on the final day of your stay is included, but we ask that you check out of your lodging by 11am. You are welcome to leave your packed bags by the door of your room/cabin while you enjoy lunch and say your goodbyes. Housekeeping may enter your room during this period to begin cleaning and prepping for our next guests.  Thank you for your consideration.

Registration Information/Cancellation Policy:

Pricing Notes: Early-bird pricing (shown above) is available if registering no later than March 31, 2025. After March 31, the tuition will increase by $100 to $1425. Upon registering, you may make a deposit of $400, or payment in full if you desire. The payment in full deadline is July 1, 2025

If you have attended this retreat before, you qualify for a loyalty discount, an additional $75 off the price if registering no later than March 31st. Please note this in the comments of your registration and we’ll adjust your balance due.

Cancellations prior to July 1, 2025, will receive a refund minus $150; Cancellation after July 1, 2025, we will refund monies paid minus $150 fee, however, if we are unable to fill your spot, there will be a $400 cancellation fee.
